These Flanges contain a high amount of chromium which makes them excellent corrosion resistant. These Flanges are thermally stable and have moderate strength at high temperature also. SMO 254 threaded Flanges design is made in such a way that it enables combining improved resistance to cracking, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion, high strength, and pitting. SMO 254 grade blind flanges resist chloride environments and sulfide stress corrosion. Raised flanges of this grade are duplex steel flange family important parts.
SMO 254 RTJ Flanges produces an optimal mixture of resistance to chlorides and reducing acids. Weld Neck Flanges of 254-grade residual element is copper only like much austenitic stainless steel do have. SMO 254 Plate Flanges are also the same as other flanges but if there is any difference in drop evaporation test is not believed to be significant statistically in theses flanges.
